Mambayya House, the Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies was founded in November 2000 as a research and training unit of Bayero University, Kano. The Centre seeks to achieve its aims through basic and applied researches; focused programs and activities. It is a non-proft making organization and operates as a relatively autonomous organ within the university’s organizational structure, subject to the university’s regulations in respect of accountability and academic standards. Since its inception, Mambayya House has a befitting edifice located at No. A69, Kofar Ruwa Road, Gwammaja Quarters, within the ancient city of Kano. It has an administrative block, a library, a conference facility with a 500-seat auditorium and 6 smaller committee rooms, 10 selfcontained guest suites and a cafeteria.
